BANGKOK, April 8 (Xinhua) -- A mass rally planned at ten places in capital Bangkok by the anti-government "red-shirts" will start from 9:00 a.m. Friday, Thai News Agency reported Thursday.
The "red-shirt" core leaders have not yet disclosed the names of the ten targeted places.
Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva has declared from late Wednesday a state of emergency in Bangkok, Nonthaburi and some districts in provinces of Samut Prakan, Pathum Thani, Nakhon Pathom and Ayutthaya to control the situation.
Tens of thousands of "red-shirts" led by the United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD) group have converged on capital Bangkok since March 12 to press Prime Minister Abhisit to dissolve the House and call a new general election.
The main rally site is now at the Phan Fah Bridge and Rathchaprasong Intersection in the center of capital Bangkok.
