According to the official news agency KCNA, a spokesman for the DPRK Foreign Minister said the aim of the resolution was to "deny and obliterate the political system" of DPRK and they rejected the resolution stoutly.
The spokesman accused the resolution's sponsors of "double standards" in dealing with human rights.
The speaker said no country had the right to interfere in the affairs of another nation and force its system upon other nations.
The U.N. resolution was approved at a meeting of the 3rd Committee of the 64th U.N. General Assembly on Thursday by a vote of 97-19 with 65 abstentions. It will be approved at a plenary session in December.
