Hungarian News Agency MTI reported that Hungarian Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcasny accepted both resignations.
MAV CEO Istvan Heinczinger also submitted his resignation, but the prime minister did not accept it.

Gyurcasny announced the resignations in a press statement on Monday in parliament. He also declared his sympathy and that of his government with the people killed or hurt in the crash and their families.
An intercity train on route from Debrecen to capital Budapest collided with a standard passenger train at Monorierdo just outside of Budapest Monday morning, killing four passengers and injuring 26 others.
