英语文摘：England football stars to attend "India Oscar" in Macao

MACAO, May 21 (Xinhua) -- Chelsea football stars John Terry and Frank Lampard were scheduled to attend the International India Film Academy (IIFA) events, which will take place in Macao in June, the Macao Daily Times reported on Thursday.

    Being held in Macao for the first time, the 10th edition of the IIFA will take place at the Venetian Macao Resort, which houses Asia's largest casino, from June 11 to 13, and the "India Oscars", one of the nation's most important movie award, will be distributed at an award ceremony on June 12.

    John Terry is the captain of the England national football team and Chelesa football club in the Premier League, and Frank Lampard is a teammate with Terry in both the national team and the club.

    Aside from the two England football stars, celebrities and renowned movie stars, including the cast of "Slumdog Millionaire", from India and other nations will attend the award ceremony, according to the daily.

    The IIFA events which also feature an Indian film festival and business forum that was expected to attract more than 500 Indian government officials, company executives and trade representatives, who will explore cooperation opportunities with other participants, according to the daily.
