BEIJING, Dec. 23 (Xinhuanet) -- Local Chinese media are reporting that American rock band the Eagles will have their first concerts on the Chinese mainland in March.

The band will give two concerts in Shanghai and Beijing, respectively on March 9 and March 12. The Beijing concert will be at the Wukesong Arena. The most expensive ticket will be 2,580 yuan, around 380 U.S. dollars, according to its Chinese hosting company.

Formed in 1971, the band has sold over 120 million copies to date. "Hotel California", released in 1976, is a favorite song of many Chinese fans.
