英语文摘:Cibeles fashion week kicks off in Madrid

MADRID, Sept. 17 (Xinhua) -- The 52nd edition of the Cibeles Madrid Fashion Week started here Friday, in the presence of Dona Leticia, Princess of Asturias.

The event, along with Barcelona's Pasarela Gaudi fashion show, is a showcase for Spanish fashion designers, some of whom are among the most famous in the world.

The seven days of Cibeles will see presentations by well-known Spanish designers such as Adolfo Dominguez and Agatha Ruiz de la Prada. The latter is expected to present her usual spectacle of color and fantasy on Sunday.

David Delfin will also make the first presentation of his new collection in Spain after exhibiting in New York earlier this week.

The works of some up and coming designers and emerging talents such as Elisa Palomino and Martin Lamothe will also be presented during the fashion week.
