BEIJING, Aug. 26 (Xinhuanet) -- U.S. teen queen Miley Cyrus has split from her boyfriend Liam Hemsworth after more than a year of dating, according to mtv.com reports.

The young Hollywood couple has called it quits, a rep for Liam confirmed to Access Hollywood.

Break-up rumours have been circulating for months. In June, Miley posted a message on her personal website denying rumors of a split, writing, “Just wanna clear up a rumor. Liam and I did not break. EVER!”

Earlier this year 17-year-old Miley Cyrus opened up about her romance with Liam, explaining: "I'm not really a big lovey person. I'm not, like, mushy. [But] Liam was the first person that made me want to be in a real relationship."

They met on the set of “The Last Song,” the movie based on the Nicholas Sparks novel.
