BEIJING, June 21 (Xinhuanet) -- U.S. actress Amanda Bynes announced Saturday on Twitter that she would quit acting.
"Being an actress isn't as fun as it may seem," the 24-year-old Hollywood star said in her Twitter. "If I don't love something anymore I stop doing it. I don't love acting anymore so I've stopped doing it."
Bynes is widely known since her debut on U.S. kid's channel Nickelodeon as a child star. Later she started her own show “The Amanda Show”. She then starred in the movies such as “She's The Man”, "Hairspray", "What I Like About You" and "What a Girl Wants", etc.

Bynes also admitted that she is a little young to end her career as an actress, saying "I know 24 is a young age to retire but you heard it here first, I've retired."
The actress has just finished a comedy called "Easy A", which will hit the big screen on September 17.
