英语文摘:Top Spanish rock band to play at Shanghai Expo

MADRID, June 14 (Xinhua) -- Top Spanish rock band Fito&Fitipaldis has announced that they will perform at the 2010 Shanghai World Expo in China in mid-August.

Fito&Fitipaldis will play in the expo's Urban Best Practice Area (UBPA) on August 22 at 20:00 local time (1200 GMT), giving visitors a chance to see one of the most popular bands in Spain, it said.

The concert will be part of the exhibition presented by the Basque city of Bilbao at the Shanghai Expo, which runs from May 1 to Oct. 31.

The band was created by Fito Cabrales in 1998. Mixing the styles of rock, swing and soul, the band has so far released six albums.
