BEIJING, March 31 (Xinhuanet) -- Michael Jackson's father Joe Jackson intends to put in a wrongful death lawsuit against his late son's personal doctor Conrad Murray, according to media reports Wednesday.

According to Joe Jackson's lawyer Brian Oxman, his client considers Dr. Murry's not calling an ambulance in time for the pop king's rescue caused the latter's death.

Oxman said if Michael Jackson was sent to the hospital right away when Murray found him in trouble, he would have been saved.

Dr. Conrad Murray, personal physician for Michael Jackson, speaks in a video posted on YouTube by his attorneys August 18, 2009. Murray states in his first public statement since Jackson died June 25, "I have told the truth and the truth will prevail."

Last week, a witness divulged that instead of continuing conducting CPR to his patient, Dr. Murray stopped to collect medicine bottles. This kind of slow reaction in a way led to the pop star's death, his father believed.

A date is set on Monday for Conrad Murray's preliminary hearing.
