BEIJING, Nov. 4 (Xinhuanet) -- Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin will share their duty to co-host the 82nd Oscars next year, according to the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences Wednesday.
Next year's Academy Awards will take place on Sunday March 7 at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood.

"I am happy to co-host the Oscars with my enemy Alec Baldwin," Martin, who hosted the ceremony solo in 2001 and 2003, said in a statement. The veteran funnyman, 64, was nominated for an Emmy for his funny job hosting the 73rd Academy Awards in 2001. He was most recently seen playing Inspector Clouseau in a "Pink Panther" remake.

"We think the team of Steve and Alec are the perfect pair of hosts for the Oscars," show producers Adam Shankman and Bill Mechanic said.
