Dick Guttman said Wednesday the 67-year-old actor "experienced a very mild stroke with no impairment whatsoever of his motor or speech abilities. He remains today in a Los Angeles hospital for observation and routine precautionary procedures."
No further details were provided.
The actor, who has been playing late former U.S. President Richard Nixon in the stage production of "Frost/Nixon." was hospitalized Tuesday. Although the cause of his health problem was not disclosed immediately, Guttman said in a statement the "actor is in a stable condition now."
