BEIJING, Jan. 22 -- Chinese-American filmmaker Wayne Wang will be on the jury panel for this year's Berlin Film Festival, organizers announced Tuesday.
The seven-member panel will also include directors Isabel Coixet, Gaston Kabore and Christoph Schlingensief, best-selling crime author Henning Mankell, and star chef Alice Waters. Oscar-winning actress Tilda Swinton will be the president.
The panel will be responsible for the selection of winners for the Golden and Silver Bears.
Hong Kong-born Wayne Wang, 60, is credited for directing such films as "Maid in Manhattan", starring Jennifer Lopez, and "Anywhere but Here", featuring Natalie Portman.
The 59th annual Berlin film festival runs from February 5-15.
Chinese director Chen Kaige's Peking Opera-centered film "Forever Enthralled" has been confirmed as a nominee for the Golden Bear.
