A newlywed couple in Qinhuangdao City near Beijing has proved that people do not need luxury cars to drive romance to a new high.
Instead of luxury wedding cars, on the day of his wedding, Wei Xiaolong picked up his bride Han Xiao on a bicycle. His bike was decorated with fresh flowers all over, and the wedding procession was formed by 88 other cycling enthusiasts whose bikes were also lavishly decorated.
The couple said they both love cycling, and a bicycle wedding is more environmentally friendly.
The two met in a biking event, where Wei was immediately attracted by Han. He quit his job in a large company to work in Han's family bicycle shop, in order to be close to her. Wei said it was four years of intensive efforts, both fixing bicycles and impressing his girl-friend.

The first 3D Chinese film featuring the Peking opera masterpiece "Farewell My Concubine" has debuted in Shanghai.
The film stars Beijing opera artist Shang Changrong and actress Shi Yihong, and combines Chinese culture with 3D technology. Teng Junjie, director of the movie, said he is exploring new approaches to promote Chinese opera to a wider audience.
"Farewell My Concubine" features a tragic love story based on the legend of ancient hero Xiang Yu and his beloved concubine Yuji. Xiang Yu lost a battle for the throne, and Yuji took her own life to keep from being capture by the rival troops.
The movie made its international debut in Hollywood at the Dolby Theater in May last year, and won an award for "Live Broadcast Music Entertainment" by the International 3D and Advanced Imaging Society in January this year.
