Hurricane Irma is bearing down on Florida, potentially making one of the most devastating storms to hit the state. Hundreds of thousands of residents have fled in anticipation of Irma's winds and storm surge, which have already killed at least 20 people in the Caribbean.

Pope Francis has expressed solidarity with the victims of an earthquake in Mexico as well as those in the path of hurricane Irma. At the conclusion of a Mass in Colombia, the Pope said he was praying for those who had lost loved ones or their homes as a result of the two natural disasters.

Authorities are trying to find out what caused the fire in a trailer home outside Anchorage, Alaska that left five children dead. Autopsies are being done on the bodies, all believed to be girls between 3 and 12 years old, to determine if they died from the fire or some other factor.

And experts say there is no way to get back stolen data of 143 million Americans taken from credit reporting company Equifax. Strongest option is a credit freeze, making it impossible for someone else to open new accounts and bank cards in your name, but it will lock you out as well.
