美语听力素材:麦当劳健身计划导致儿童长皮疹

Most people associate McDonald’s with fattening food, not fitness. The burger chain tried to tweek that image by including activity trackers in its Happy Meals for kids.

They attach to the wrist, like watches and count the number and pace of the wearers steps. But instead of getting kids moving,the bands gave some of them rashes, according to complaints by parents.

The company is investigating the skin irritations and offering kids an alternative toy.
