夏恩華德，1984年10月16日出生於英國曼徹斯特，家中有四個男生，三個女生，他是最小的男孩。家裡經濟狀況不是很好，沒有太多零用錢的夏恩，絕大多數的時間，都是靠電台播放的流行樂、節奏藍調歌曲汲取音樂能量。16歲時，夏恩加入了一個重唱組合—命?Destiny)樂團，2004年，命邩穲F報名參加「The X Factor」第一屆試唱甄選，但是並沒有入選，一年後，夏恩決定以個人身分報名，這一回卻出現重大轉變，他一路過關斬將，最終贏得了「The X Factor」2005年賽季的冠軍。
