Let's check out some of the stories that have made headlines on China's corporate front this week.

We are joined live by Doug Young, company news chief for the English edition of Caixin.

Story 1:

Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba is suing a Taobao merchant suspected of selling counterfeit pet food.

Alibaba is suing the counterfeiter for selling more than 2.6 million yuan worth of goods through Taobao.

In January this year, Alibaba sued two alleged online counterfeit sellers who were selling fake Swarovski watches for 1.4 million yuan.

That marks the first time that an Internet platform had taken a counterfeit vendor to court in China.

Story 2:

Beijing-based BAIC Motor has announced plans to launch car-sharing services here in Beijing.

This comes as part of the company's efforts to establish a nationwide platform to provide car-sharing services.

A joint venture involving SAIC Motor has already been operating in Beijing.

Following the rise in popularity of bicycle-sharing services, car-sharing is now also gaining ground in China.

Car-sharing services are now available in dozens of cities across the country, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chengdu.
