Forum 2012 will put the focus on new developments in the health research field, with the theme "Beyond Aid", which says "Research and Innovation are the key drivers for Health, Equity and Development."
The director of the forum organizer, Professor Carel IJsselmuiden, says the relationship around the globe is changing between emerging economies and high income countries.
"We are now entering a new world, in which the capacity of countries that were previously seen in the last three decades to be recipients of aid, if you want, the welfare that high income countries had to give to those countries are slowly starting to take over.
