So much friends' sickness and in health, religious TV personality Pat Robertson says that divorcing a spouse suffering from Alzheimer's is justifiable because the disease is a form of death. Here's what Robertson told his 700 club viewers, when responding to a viewer's question about a husband dating another woman while his wife suffers from the disease.
"I know it sounds cruel, but if he's going to lose something, he should divorce her and start all over again. But you know, to make sure she has custodial care and somebody looking after her."
Robertson did add that the situation is a terribly hard thing and that an ethicist besides him should give the answer.
