Obama says he will change the American health-care system. He is not the first President to attempt this and he faces a tough battle with opponents. Yesterday he gave a big speech in Washington where he stated that the U.S. was the only rich country in the world where millions of people have no access to health care. This is because Americans need health insurance to get treatment. Insurance can be very expensive. But Obama wants the government to help make health care more affordable so that people don't have to go without. He called for the political parties to work together for change......
But many Americans disagree with Obama's plans - among other things his critics are concerned that making health-care cheaper will be very expensive for the government and will put the U.S. in even more debt.
