"This recession could linger for years."

Now the change is in him. Just days from inauguration, Barack Obama is striking a different tone. The soaring campaign rhetoric, "America, this is our moment. This is our time." has given way to grim reality. With the country mired in an ugly recession, the president-elect is calling for national sacrifice, warning there could actually be more job losses this year than last. The economy is also forcing Mr. Obama's team to reconsider some campaign pledges.
