About 7,000 fans of Chinese pop diva Anita Mui marked the first anniversary of her death at a star-studded commemoration concert.
Local stars sang Mui's greatest hits, with performers including Andy Hui, Hacken Lee and Miriam Yeung.
Concert organizers also showed footage of Mui winning a talent contest in 1982.
Proceeds will go toward a proposed museum honoring Mui.
Mui died on Dec. 30, 2003, of lung complications(并发症) caused by cervical cancer(子宫癌). She was 40.
The Hong Kong native won legions of fans in the Chinese-speaking world with her deep, melancholy
voice. Her frequently changing image drew comparisons to Madonna.
She also had a distinguished acting career, winning Taiwan's Golden Horse award for best actress in 1988 for her role as a tormented ghost in the movie "Rouge."
