中新网5月12日电 据国家地震台网测定，北京时间5月12日14时28分，在四川汶川县(北纬31度，东经103.4度)发生7.6级地震(注：据央视最新消息，地震震级为7.8级)。
据中央电视台消息，重庆、山西、陕西、湖北、北京等地都有震感。

　　汶川县位于四川盆地西部边缘、阿坝藏族、羌族自治州(以下简称阿坝州)的东南部。扼成都平原与川西北高原的交通要道，素有阿坝州南大门之称。南低北高，沿岷江河谷，呈东北西南向，河谷山岭相对高差悬殊，地形复杂，属典型的高山峡谷地形。它的东部和南部与成都市属的都江堰市、彭州市、崇州市和大邑县接壤，西南部与雅安地区的芦山县、宝兴县为邻，西部和北部分别和阿坝州内的小金县、理县、茂县相连。县域东西宽84公里，南北长105公里，总面积4084平方公里，全县6镇、8乡、126个自然村，人口107354人。是全国仅有四个羌族聚居县之一。是阿坝州联系内地的门户和交通枢纽，国道213线、317线纵横县境，是前往国家级"熊猫之乡"--卧龙自然保护区大熊猫观赏旅游线的主要干道，也是前往九寨沟、黄龙寺这两个世界级"自然与文化遗产地"、"国际生物圈保护区"的旅游公路--九寨环线中线(成都-都江堰-汶川-茂县-松潘到九寨沟)的必经之道。这三条干线路面平坦，整洁舒适，安全便捷，建设质量全部达到我国山岭重丘等级公路标准。
　　县城距四川省省会成都市146公里，距都江堰90公里，距理县54公里，距茂县44公里。距阿坝州首府马尔康246公里，距九寨沟也只有289公里。四通八达的交通网，支撑着汶川经济的飞速发展。

Such an big catastrophe have happened on the disaster areas
I  feel sorry for the people in the earthquake areas.
Let us unite  together and overcome the big catastrophe ,open our heart
  to help the people who really need helps.
I can do is pray for the disaster areas's people ,hoping they will get over it

i am sorry to hear that ,in my opinion ,now what we could do is that ,pray for them ,and if the financial condition is permitted ,please do our best to donate some money or other things to the disaster area 's people.

感觉就是一群难民  好不容易在学校晃到天亮却发现原来即使亮了下着雨自己还是无处可去  没有一个地方是安全的

I can't help crying when I see so many picture from the webset .I hope everyboby in china can give them a hand to get throngh the disaster .I have been in chengdu for four years. That is a beautiful place ! I hope the earthquake is just a joke !

I am far away from the center of the earthquack!but i feel so sad and i have contributed money and clothes!

We should give them our strong support and endeavor to donate more if we can

so moved by the action....

but why does the buildings of school broken down first?!

what about the governmental buildings?

the life of our lovely pupils were not valuable as those so-called VIPs?!

怎么都用英文。。可以用中文么？？
当天我们那高楼才有感觉。底层没什么感觉的。不过上海离四川这么远也有感觉说明那的地震很厉害呀。

我在成都  在学校寝室刚刚起床准备上课  我以为有人在摇床 还骂
了一句的
